Deadlywind,
founded in 2001, is the result of two brothers and a couple
of friends getting serious about making paintball cool.
By
the end of 2002, after setting up a small machining shop,
Colin Moritz designed and milled the first DW Chord body.
From there is history. Beginning of 2003 saw the next generation
of the Chord series, the Chord V2, which was picked up by
AGD and sold as a joint AGD/DW product. By mid 2003, Travis
Kuykendall was brought on to help with body design, and
the Dallara came to be. By the end of 2003, Travis designed
the Karta, which was also picked up by AGD, and is the replacement
for the now-discontinued X-mag body.

We
created the first aftermarket body shell for the Ion,
and continue to introduce a range of bodies for the Ion
as well as other common marker accessories.

But
we didn't stop at body designs. We are constantly developing,
questioning, improving, designing, and re-designing. It's
this never-ending quest that led to the development of such
technology as the hAir mechanical trigger system- electro
feel and ROF capabilities without the electro.
In
mid-2005 we ventured into barrel making by creating the
first carbon fiber barrel that uses Freak inserts- The Wisper.
The name has since changed to Fibur, but the same concept
still lives on, and has become a huge hit!
Now,
2007 will bring an ever wider range of products and possibly
even an entire marker from us- who knows?!
Most
of our work is done "in-house" on a variety of
tools including a 4-axis CNC mill.

We
are located in Houston, TX, but due to the nature of our
business, do not have a local storefront. All of our products
are sold either online or through nationwide dealers.
