Deadlywind question

Posted: one year ago Quote #91
Hi,

i just received my new Deadlywind and I was thinking it was supposed to have an o ring inside it but I don't see any o-ring. It is normal? where it should be? Or the o-ring was for an old design?

Also when i insert my freak insert, I used my flexible squeege for the last inch and when i want to removed it (It really help). It is ok or It could damage the barrel?

Thank you

The o-ring is up inside the barrel.

I'd probably steer away from using the pull-through squeegee to remove the insert. If you lightly grease the front most tip of the insert, you should be able to get them in and out easier and not have to resort to the squeegee.

There should be an o-ring in a groove that is about 1.5" from the back of the barrel, so you can take a look or check with you finger, see if you can find the groove and verify the ring is in it.

Is your insert really tight going into the barrel? Normally if it is this snug, it will mean that the oring is doing its job, but might need a bit of lube to get it to slide better. The inserts should go in by hand force without much issue, if you are needing to really push hard than something may not be right. Try the bit of lube on the insert and see if this helps.
